Right to rent checks

From 1 February 2016 we are required to undertake document checks to establish that prospective tenants can legally rent a residential property. We must now see the original versions of one or more acceptable documents and check the documents validity in the presence of the holder. This document check is normally fulfilled by presenting your passport, however, different types of documents are acceptable.

A full list can been seen at www.gov.uk, however, if you are in any doubt as to what documentation can be provided then please contact us. We also require proof of address e.g. a copy of a utility bill or a censored copy of a bank, building society or credit card statement showing your name and current address (no more than 3 months old).
